Hello, Hoonah City Schools families and community members! I am very excited to be the new 2nd/3rd grade teacher for the 2020-2021 school year. I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little about myself. I was born in Topeka, Kansas, my father was stationed at Luke Air Force Base shortly after I was born, so I grew up in Arizona. 

I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Mark, for 25 years. We are blessed with 2 beautiful daughters; Sophia age 20 and Mia age 13.

I graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Masters in Teaching and this will be my 18th year in a classroom. Over the years I have sponsored many afterschool activities such as drama club, yearbook, student council, and robotics club. 

I look forward to meeting each of you and having an amazing school year.
